We are all spending more and more time online. We want to make sure you are as safe as possible online.
Online Safety Top Tips for Parents
- Keep the computer in a family area, not the child's bedroom.
- Use 'child lock' or filter settings on your Web browser to help prevent your child from accessing unsuitable sites.
- Regularly supervise the sites your child is visiting.
- Please encourage your child to use their Favourites list to access the sites you have approved to prevent accidental entry to unsuitable sites.
- Teach your child to switch the monitor off or close the laptop lid, then fetch or tell you if something unsuitable appears on the screen. This is what we do in school.
- Keep all personal details private and be aware of stranger danger.
- Above all, encourage your child to talk to you about the websites and electronic devices they are using at home and school.

The E-Safety Game Show - SPLATS Entertainment
Years 5 and 6 took part in an E-Safety gameshow, which they presented to Years 3 and 4.
The show was designed in true game show style to be entertaining, engaging and larger than life. It aimed to inform pupils of incidents that can occur online and ways to deal with this.
Key message: Wait, Think, Review.
